Construction Update – Important Information

The next phase of the campus renewal project has started and is impacting most of the first floor of the main building. Staff offices have been relocated to the second floor of the Hunter Building, as have meeting spaces for boards and other groups. Signs are posted to help navigate the various changes.

The church office will be CLOSED July 25-29 during the asbestos removal portion of this phase.

The church office outside entrance door is closed for this phase.

The handicap entrance is now the primary entrance to the building during the week. The Sanctuary entrances will be open as usual on Sunday mornings.

The church office has moved to the Archives room, on the second floor of the Hunter Building (1st door on the left).

Kathy, Laura, Ashley, and Sarah will be based primarily in Hunter Building Room 202. All four will work offsite much of the time.

The mailroom, copier, and supplies have moved upstairs to the Hunter Building atrium.

The Saegmuller Room, Library, and 1st floor Women’s Bathroom will be unavailable for about two weeks, beginning July 20.

Coffee hour will be held in Carpenter Hall on Sundays July 23 and 30.

These changes mean that limited space is available for meetings. Please contact the church office ahead of time to arrange room usage requests.

Easterlyn is out on medical leave for the next week and has limited access to email. Immediate needs should be directed to Laura.

There may be construction related power outages or issues that require us to close the office or amend office hours. We will do our best to notify the congregation of such changes.

If you have questions, please contact Peter Geiger, chairman of the Campus Renewal Committee.

The reality is that I too have

Authored your pain.

I laid a blank piece of paper down

When you needed me to respond.

I chose the shortcut.

I learned complicity,

Learned to move quietly in my privilege,

Learned to let the doors open for me

Before walked inside.

I inherited fear

And did not unlearn it.

In fight or flight, I flew.

I confess all this.

And I commit to hearing

The raw stories,

To letting your vulnerability

Chafe me.
